On July 4, 2026, the "High-Performance Inorganic Fibers and Their Application Technologies" Sub-forum of the 4th National Defense Science and Technology Highland Forum, together with the 2nd National Academic Exchange Annual Conference on High-Performance Inorganic Fibers and Products, was successfully held in Changsha, Hunan Province. The event was hosted by the China Textile Engineering Society, the College of Aerospace Science and Engineering at the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT), and the National Key Laboratory of Textile New Materials and Advanced Processing, and organized by the High-Performance Inorganic Fibers and Products Professional Committee of the China Textile Engineering Society.

The annual conference was chaired by Liu Haitao, Director of the National Key Laboratory of Novel Ceramic Fibers and Their Composites at the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT). More than 140 experts and corporate representatives from inorganic fiber-related fields across the country attended the conference.
